My name is Gisela K. and my YouTube channel, Grizzly True Crime was launched in June 2021. Since then my community, known as ‘The Grizzlies’ has grown to include over 460 000 subscribers (October 2025).
My goal is to offer families of victims of crime a space to feel safe and welcome as they navigate the most traumatic time of their lives, and expect my community to fiercely protect victims of crime from the inevitable blaming and shaming they receive online. Instead, we want to learn lessons from true crime cases, while respecting each victim, telling their story, and raising awareness on topics including domestic violence and coercive control.
My factual breakdowns of true crime and missing person’s cases includes discussing legal/police documents, watching LIVE court hearings, trials, body cam videos, and press conferences together as a community. I mostly cover cases happening the USA due to the transparency offered: most countries outside of the USA do not allow public access to trials/documents/case files, etc.

What is Grizzly True Crime?
Grizzly True Crime is a YouTube channel created by Gisela K., which features deep dives on true crime and missing persons cases, map-time, visual learning experiences, bullet points, snark, interactive livestreams, and live trial coverage.
Why the Grizzly bear theme?
The brand was born as ‘Grizzly Books True Crime’, later evolving into Grizzly True Crime on YouTube. Our mascot could’ve easily been a zebra, leopard, or any other animal, but a Grizzly bear community sounded just right. Also, did you know that a group of bears is called a sleuth?
How Can I Become a Moderator/Team Member?
At the moment, I am not looking to expand my team. I have six fantastic, dedicated moderators who have been with me since the start of my YouTube journey a PR manager, and Grizzly Cat who assists me in obtaining documents and FOIA files. What cases does Grizzly True Crime cover?
Grizzly True Crime covers a variety of true crime and missing person’s cases and trials, including cold cases, solved cases, and developing cases. Most cases covered happened in the USA due to the transparency offered compared to any other country. For example, in Switzerland, where I live, we do not have mug shots, press conferences, FOIA files, public access to trials, and we have bench trials (no jury).
