About Grizzly True Crime
Gisela K is the independent creator behind Grizzly True Crime on YouTube.
The channel provides evidence-based, victim-centered coverage of ongoing criminal cases and live trials, drawing on court documents, public records, press conferences, and map-based analysis.
Grizzly True Crime launched in 2021 and has grown into a daily livestream platform covering active cases, trials, and breaking developments.
Approach
Coverage is based on publicly available information, including court proceedings, filings, and verified sources.
Content is presented in a structured, chronological format, focusing on clarity and accuracy rather than speculation.
*All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
My Background
Before launching the channel, I worked across several industries, including aviation as an airline pilot for South African Airways. This background shaped a structured, analytical approach to researching and presenting complex information.
I am South African, living in Switzerland with my husband Raphael and our three cats: Fury, Willow and Pepper.
I also share behind-the-scenes content, including travels in Switzerland and day-to-day updates, on Patreon and for YouTube members.
Our Community
Grizzly True Crime is supported by a highly engaged community that follows cases closely, contributes insights, and participates in respectful, case-focused discussions.
Since launching the channel in June 2021, we have grown to almost 500 000 community members on YouTube.
“Grizzly” refers to the bear, not “grisly.” The name reflects the channel’s identity and the community that has formed around it.
Viewers often refer to themselves as the Grizzlies — a group committed to following cases closely, supporting one another, and engaging in thoughtful, respectful discussion.
“Be a Lighthouse”
A guiding principle of our community is to “be a lighthouse.”
The phrase, inspired by Judge Don Ash in Tennesee, reflects an approach of staying steady and providing clarity when navigating complex and often difficult cases. Rather than reacting impulsively or becoming combative, the focus is on maintaining a calm, structured approach that allows information to be examined clearly as it unfolds.
